Just tried it with the AS A319, no passengers were boarding. Gates can be customised to walk-in gates, and after activating a walk-in gate passengers will walk to or from the terminal. Walk-In gates are parking spots with no jetways, where passengers can simply walk from the terminal to the aircraft without a passenger bus. Luggage and cargo loading, catering vehicles, refuelling services and animated passenger jetways to name a few.
